BIOGRAPHY
Leticia Huijara studied Dramatic Literature and Theater at UNAM, and began her acting career in 1987 in the play De la calle . Since then she combined her theatrical career with television and film. Among her first successes on the big screen are her leading roles in films such as Lola (1989), Herod’s Law (1999) and Sex for Compassion (2000), as well as her Ariel nominations for Two Crimes (1994), In Case I Never See You Again (1997) and Dark Cities (2002). She also achieved success on Mexican television. She highlights her award for best leading television actress awarded by the National Circle of Journalists for the soap opera Los Sánchez (2004-2005). In 2016 she returned to the Mexican television station Televisa after twenty-six years, alongside Pedro Damián in the telenovela Despertar Contigo . In 2020 she was part of the main cast of the Netflix Mexico series, Dark Desire
